Merger Business Case

The Merger Business Case (MBC) was the formal document that laid out the case for merging the NAFC Marine Centre, Shetland College and Train Shetland to create a single new college, and the business (financial) case for the merger.

The MBC was approved by the Shadow Board (18^th March 2020), the Shetland Fisheries Training Centre Trust (1^st April 2020), the Shetland Islands Council (23^rd April) and the UHI's Finance and Property Committee (8^th May 2020), and submitted to the Scottish Funding Council (8^th May 2020).

A formal consultation on the the Merger Business Case was carried out from 1^st June to 3^rd July 2020. The results of the consultation are available on the Consultation page.
