Senior Phase Applications now open

Applications for Senior Phase now open! Our Senior phase programme is a partnership between local high schools and UHI Shetland to give you the opportunity to experience studying as a college student and to gain a recognised qualification while at school.

We have a variety of different courses on offer across a range of subjects from construction to art to aquaculture, at SCQF levels from 5-7. You would attend campus in Lerwick, Scalloway or at Mareel every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, and many of our courses include work placements or industry visits.

There is no cost to you for attending these courses, and they contribute to your qualification portfolio as you move towards employment or further study – with some of the courses counting towards university eligibility and another fast-tracking entrance onto year two of a modern apprenticeship.
