Post of Interim Joint Principal for Shetland College and NAFC

Issued on behalf of Shetland College Board and SFTCT (Shetland Fisheries Training Centre Trust) Board

The Boards of Shetland College and NAFC Marine Centre are pleased to announce that they have agreed to appoint Willie Shannon to the role of Interim Joint Principal for the tertiary sector in Shetland. An early start date is being sought, subject to the completion of the relevant recruitment administration.

Peter Campbell, Chair of Shetland College Board: “Shetland College UHI Board of Management looks forward to working with the new Interim Joint Principal to promote the development of Further and Higher education and Research within Shetland. In the challenging period ahead close cooperation between Shetland College UHI, Train Shetland and NAFC Marine Centre UHI will be required to achieve the desired outcomes for the Tertiary Education Sector.”
