At the Centre for Island Creativity, we are a diverse and dynamic team of researchers, educators, and creative practitioners dedicated to fostering innovation, knowledge exchange, creative education and research.

Our Approach is rooted in fostering innovation and knowledge exchange in remote and rural settings. We believe in the unique value and wealth of knowledge that can be found in these locations, and our commitment to interdisciplinary research and collaborative projects reflects this belief. Our team is comprised of individuals with a wide range of expertise and backgrounds including fine art, sculpture, textiles, design, craft, social anthropology, creative writing, social art practice, history, heritage, academic research and education.

Our team are active members of several academic and professional networks, allowing us to stay current in our fields and engage in meaningful collaborations. We have close working relationships with other research centres within the university and regularly collaborate with colleagues from a wide range of other disciplines.
